 | CS Major Double Breasted Frockcoat in Wool
This Double breasted Frockcoat's most distinguishing characteristic is the unusual rounded branch of service coloured turn backs fitted to the reveres. These were popular during the early war years by some officers from the deep south. The cuffs, collar and rear pocket flaps are also in branch of service colour.
This 14 button front frock coat is fitted with fourteen buttons, of your choice to the front and three on each sleeve. It is made from a high quality Hainsworth military weight wool and fully lined in very good quality black Silesia polished cotton to the body and cream cotton to the sleeves. There is an interior document pocket fitted as standard.
Fitted as showen with branch of service facing colour to; collar, reveres and cuffs. This coat is showen with three row of Austrian knots, you have however a choice, as your rank increases so does the amount of rows of Austrian Knots on your sleeve. The cape is fully lined so that you can choose the colour you want. Here is an example of the many different types of trousers we get asked to make for our customers! This pair were ordered from us by the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, for use by one of their American Civil War Historical Interpretors.
We copied them from a known surviving pair of original trousers and now you can order them too!
Made in military weight dark blue wool wool with two yellow wool chevron stripes down each leg, the trousers have slash pockets and a rear buckle adjuster as standard, they are entirely machine stitched with black polished cotton fly and pocket linings. 'V' split waistband. Fitted with reinforced sections to seat and inner leg area.
