This is one of many different styles of dress belts worn during the American Civil War. We make this one with Gold Russia lace stitched on to red leather. We make a lot of these for re-enactors and also museum clients, very often you can get hold of an original pair of binoculars but either they don't have a case or the case is unsuitable for the period of history that you portray. Well here is the solution! we copied this from an original case dating to about 1855, it is hand sewn in bridle leather and lined in wool felt, it is supplied with a fully adjustable strap fitted with brass roller buckles. The top of the case features a handle. Please note the binculars shown are not included!
