 | February Shipment from Pietta
We have been informed that the February shipment is now enroute to us, this is a very large shipment containing a small number of customer's guns that have been on 'back-order' for some considerable time.
Some of you are quite rightly very frustrated with the wait and we can assure you that is not of our doing, we ordered all of these guns from the factory many months ago and have tried everything we possibly could to get these orders expedited.
The fact that they are coming now is largely due to the fact that we went and visited them in September last year.
We and our UK customers have to accept that Pietta's main market is to the USA and Canada for whom they produce about 10,000 guns a month, in order to make the relatively small amount that we can sell they have to retool the factory and as you can imagine they lose production time whenever they do this.
As a result we have to advance place our orders every 6 months and get them on a 3 month delivery cycle, we would remind you that we are the sole importer for Pietta in the UK and therefore no-one else can supply these for you, we do see other companies advertising Pietta products at a higher price than we sell them for, these are most likely guns they have bought 'on spec' from us and have marked them up accordingly. We even see secondhand guns selling for more than our brand new ones!!
Please be assured that we are not just sitting on your deposits and doing nothing to expedite the orders, we want you to have the products as quickly as you do, it is in everybody's best interest after all.
Once we have placed the order we are completely in the manufacturers hands and have to wait, our advice is to place your order as early as possible and be prepared to wait. Cancelling your order only allows someone else to jump up the queue and means you have waited for nothing.
The current shipment is expected to be with us by the end of February by the time it has cleared all the various customs checks, we will ship to you on the day they arrive.

 | Colt Thunderer NEW!!!
Manufactured by Pietta especially for us this their version of the Colt Lightning from 1877 which was produced in double action format in a variety of barrel lengths. In order to keep the price affordable this version has been produced as a single action and is available in 4.75 inch for £295.00 and 7.5 inch for £325.00 . Please note the Thunderer is not forward venting.
Also note the unique handle design which makes holding the gun very comfortable!!
