Made from a quality black Furfelt and supplied with a leather sweatband and period gingham lining and label (removable), this is our contractors or private purchase version of the Federal Hardee Hat, crown height approx 5,1/4", brim width 3,1/4".
Please note the hat on the right is shown 'fully dressed' with badges, hatcords and plume, these items are all available elsewhere on the site and must be ordered separately as they are not included in the price.
Shown on the left is the Hardee without any detailing, note how it can be shaped into a very good 'Slouch Hat' this was a common treatment of the Hardee Hat during the Civil War period.
