The Sutlers Stores was formed in 1998 and has over 9,000 clients worldwide. We are proud to include the majority of Europe's leading re-enactors as customers. Additionally we have worked on some of the largest period films, stage shows and television programmes. We regularly make complete costumes for display in leading museums around the world. Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. MOST IMPORTANT When placing an order for either blank firing, deactivated or replica guns and also any knife or sword you do hereby by ticking the box above agree that you are over 18 years of age and that you will use the product responsibly and within the boundaries of any law appertaining to their use wherever you may reside. The Sutlers Stores cannot be held responsible for any injury caused to either yourself or any other person or animal through misuse of our products. We accept credit card payment. We can now also American Express cards, we are updating the site to enable Amex ordering, if you wish to order by Amex prior to this being available then please call us and place a telephone order. Stock items are dispatched immediately except for cheque payments which must clear before goods can be shipped. Tailoring and any out of stock items are usually sent within four to twelve weeks of receipt of order, please note there can be delays during the peak re-enactment season. .

Shipping And Handling
Post and packing in the UK is approximately 10% of the cost of the order up to a maximum charge of £12.50 and a minimum charge of £3.50. We are unable to attend as many Re-enactment events as we used to but are happy to deliver goods to you at these events free of charge if we are attending. Please check to see whether we are going to be there!.

Delivery Schedule
The majority of our sutlery products are available from stock, occasionally we run out of some items but this is usually only a temporary situation. We keep stocks of many of the Confederate Depot Jackets and also Federal Sack Coats, shirts and trouser for both in the standard Army sizes of the time. Clothing items that have to be made vary in delivery time fro 4 weeks for some simple items to 12 weeks for complicated items. The majority of our clothing is made to order and therefore qualifies as a 'Special Order' under our returns policy. 'Special Orders' do not qualify for a refund but every effort will be made to ensure your satisfaction with your purchase, in the unlikely event that despite our best efforts you are still not satisfied with your 'Special Order' we will at our discretion offer you a credit note to the value less a 10% restocking charge..

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait..

Tax Charges
This site is designed for use by customers based in the UK, Europe and North America. If you live outside of these areas please ask for a specific quote for shipping costs..

Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. If your computer is using Windows XP with Internet Explorer 6.0 the inbuilt encryption will not work.
