The Sutlers Stores was formed in 1998 and has over 9,000 clients worldwide. We are proud to include the majority of Europe's leading re-enactors as customers. Additionally we have worked on some of the largest period films, stage shows and television programmes. We regularly make complete costumes for display in leading museums around the world. Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

MOST IMPORTANT When placing an order for either blank firing, deactivated or replica guns and also any knife or sword you have to either telephone us or visit us in person. We are unable to sell these products directly from the website. The Sutlers Stores cannot be held responsible for any injury caused to either yourself or any other person or animal through misuse of our products.

The pricing on the website is in GBP as we are a British company. The Euro pricing is a guide only. You will be charged at the current exchange rate and it is possible that you may be charged an extra fee. We are not liable for this as it is out of our control unfortunately.

We accept credit card payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch and Solo. We can now also American Express cards. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. We also accept UK Cheques and GBP sterling via post.

We ask that you allow a minimum of 14 days for delivery. However generally, stock items are dispatched as quickly as possible except for cheque payments which must clear before goods can be shipped. Tailoring and any out of stock items are usually sent within four to twelve weeks of receipt of order, please note there can be delays during the peak re-enactment season. .



Shipping And Handling
Post and packing in the UK is approximately 10% of the cost of the order up to a maximum charge of £12.50 and a minimum charge of £3.50. Shipping outside of the UK is more expensive, and it is possible that you may be charged import duty if you live outside of the EU. We cannot be held liable for these charges as they are beyond our control. However the price we charge to ship outside of the UK is as low as we can make it.
We are unable to attend as many Re-enactment events as we used to but are happy to deliver goods to you at these events free of charge if we are attending. Please check to see whether we are going to be there!



Delivery Schedule
The majority of our sutlery products are available from stock, occasionally we run out of some items but this is usually only a temporary situation.

We ask that you allow a minimum of 14 days for delivery. However in general, stock items are dispatched as quickly as possible. Tailoring items and any out of stock items are usually sent within 4 to 12 weeks of receipt of order, please note there can be delays during the peak re-enactment season.

We keep stocks of many of the Confederate Depot Jackets and also Federal Sack Coats, shirts and trousers for both in the standard Army sizes of the time. Clothing items that have to be made vary in delivery time from 4 weeks for some simple items to 12 weeks for the more complicated items.

The majority of our clothing is made to order and therefore qualifies as a 'Special Order' under our returns policy. 'Special Orders' do not qualify for a refund but every effort will be made to ensure your satisfaction with your purchase, in the unlikely event that despite our best efforts you are still not satisfied with your 'Special Order' we will at our discretion offer you a credit note to the value of your order..

Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait..

Tax Charges
This site is designed for use by customers based in the UK, Europe and North America. If you live outside of these areas please ask for a specific quote for shipping costs..

If for any reason you are unhappy with what you receive, then simply contact us within 7 days of receipt. We ask that you then return it to us in the condition you received it and we will refund your money or replace the product (whichever you prefer)..

Returns Policy

If however you are not and this is not you must inform us within 7 days of recieving your order. We can then discuss whether to exchange the item, or if necessary offer you a credit note or refund you the cost of the item and the postage.

Please note we do not pay return shipping costs, unless the item is faulty.
