We have had this knife especially made for us. Modelled on what many believe to be the 'real' Jim Bowie knife our version is 13.5" long overall with a 8" long blade. The pommel and hilt are made from solid brass, the handle is solid hardwood, the blade is steel and supplied blunt, ready for sharpening. It comes with a 'non-period' black leather sheath. This knife is unique to the Sutlers Stores and is really popular with over 200 sold worldwide last year alone.
As a matter of interest, a similar knife was offered by another supplier about 2 years ago at over £200.00, we have one of theirs and it isn't any better!!! As of August 2004 these are back in stock so...get one quick before they all get sold again
