RB029A 1850-90's Double Breasted Civilian Frockcoat
This is a very popular item amongst Western and Victorian Civilian Re-enactors, it is made from a quality Black Hainsworth wool. Its special feature is that the front Satin lining extends onto the collar. It has six black satin covered buttons on the front and fully opening cuffs each with three black satin covered buttons. The rest of the lining is a fine silesian polished cotton except sleeves which are white cotton . This is a copy of an original in our collection which is dated to 1872.

This type of frock coat was often worn in the late 19th century. We make these from wool with a polished cotton lining they have hip pockets and the whole coat is piped with lace to accentuate the pockets cuff and collar. Black frocks are piped in black lace all the others are made to contrast as in the example shown.

RB029 Traditional Frock Coat Single Breasted
Another very popular civilian item, made in a quality Hainsworth wool from an original pattern in our collection, features eight piece body and two piece sleeves, fully lined in black cotton with interior pocket. The coat is cut to be worn at 'just above' knee length. Comes with four buttons to the front, two at the rear on the seams and three on the cuffs. The buttons on this example are velvet covered to match the contrasting collar . Please note these coats were not generally worn 'done-up' and will be cut accordingly.
Options are velvet half collar £10.00, pocket flaps £10.00 and cuffs £10.00. Please tick which you require.
Velvet options are blck or brown and will be matched to your colour choice.

 | RB5767 Full Length Frock Coat in Tweed Wool
This is a lovely example of a full length frock coat dating to the period 1860-1920 it is made from a quality tweed wool with brown velvet collar and cuffs, the buttons are also velvet covered to match. Three buttons are fitted to the front, three to the sleeves and two to the rear. The coat is lined in a brown polished cotton with contrasting sleeve lining. There are 2 flap pockets at the hip and an interior document pocket is also fitted.
The coat has a central vent at the rear which extends to the small of the back enabling the coat to be worn when riding a horse.
Alternative colours are fitted with matching velvet collars, cuffs and buttons so if you choose the black coat we would fit a black velvet collars, cuffs and buttons with a black polished cotton lining.

Made as a copy of the one Ian McShane wears in the part of 'Al Swearinger' in the TV series 'Deadwood'. It is made from the same wool material as the original and features a dark burgundy silk-like lining, it has four pockets and dark coloured turned buttons made from horn.

This is a version of the Virginian with a full collar and has the edges taped, including the pockets. The vest is completely lined in cotton silesia There is one interior pocket as standard and the back has a belt and buckle attached. This is our 'Long Coat' based on original examples we have examined. It is made from a medium weight black wool with a black polished cotton lining and two exterior pockets with flaps. It has three cloth covered buttons on the front and two more on a belt at the back. The coat is cut 'Long' to finish mid-calf, it is generally worn open and we cut it accordingly. If you want to be able to fasten the coat we will cut it more generously, please respond when prompted during the order process.
