A Brief History of the Company
The Sutlers Stores was formed in 1998 and has over 9,000 clients worldwide. We are proud to include the majority of Europe's leading re-enactors as customers. Additionally we have worked on some of the largest period films, stage shows and television programmes. We regularly make complete costumes for display in leading museums around the world. History of the Website
We first built this site in 1999 becoming one of the first suppliers in our field to offer secure on-line ordering. The site was built for us by a web developer but as it kept growing we had to take control of it ourselves in order to keep the costs down.
Maintenance of the site created the need for our own photographic facilities and this helped with our own catalogue production which had grown from a tiny A5 sized booklet to what it is today a 168 page A4 sized BOOK!
As our skills and facilities grew out of our need to keep ourselves at the leading edge of our industry various other companies saw what we were doing and so asked us whether we could provide a similar service for them. Thus was born Westhill Studios in late 2004. News of website changes>

Westhill Studios
The company has continued to grow, adding clients including national plc’s working in many different industries. As a consequence we now employ full time graphic designers, web developers and photographers.
As a result of this success we had to restructure our business arrangements and in August 2006 Westhill Studios Ltd became the Sutlers Stores parent company.
